Description
52 and 54 East Street are a pair of houses from the early 19th century. They have rendered fronts that are solid on the ground storey and likely timber-framed above, designed to look like masonry. The roofs are slated, and each house features a red-brick chimney on the right side wall. The buildings are three storeys tall and two windows wide, although No 52 has only one window on the second storey. Each house has a six-panelled door on the left side. Additionally, No 54 includes a cart entrance with plank doors at the far left-hand end. The ground storey has six-paned sashes in concealed frames, while the upper storey features eight-paned sashes in moulded flush frames. Both houses have a deep, plain eaves-cornice.
