Description

Courtledge Cottage is a cottage dating from the 16th or 17th century, located in South Brent, Harbourneford. It is constructed of roughcast stone rubble and cob, with an asbestos slate roof featuring gabled ends and a hipped corner. The building is L-shaped, although the north-east wing has been shortened. It has two storeys and two windows facing south. These windows are small, circa 18th-century casements with leaded panes. A circa 20th-century glazed door is on the left-hand side, and there are chimney stacks in the gable ends. The interior was not inspected, but a cranked arched wooden door frame is visible from the entrance doorway.
