Description

This is a medieval granite cross fragment, consisting of the head of the shaft and one arm. It is located to the northwest of the south gate to the Church of St Mary in Dunsford. The cross was previously situated in the village, where it served as a wheel stop at the corner of a cottage opposite the Royal Oak Inn, as noted by E. Masson Phillips in "The Ancient Stone Crosses of Devon."
