Description

The base of a cross shaft, likely dating from the medieval period, is located in the churchyard of the Church of St John the Baptist, approximately 4 metres south of the south aisle. It is made of limestone and features a large square base with a smaller square shaft base at the center. The upper edge of the cross base has a hollow moulding, and the corners are cut away. At the center of the base, there is an early 20th-century war memorial cross. Remnants of the original cross shaft can be found inside the church.
