Description
Farthings is a building that consists of three houses, now combined into one, located at the end of a row. It dates from the 18th century and is constructed of coursed and squared limestone with a stone slate roof. The building features two stacks and has a coped gable on the right side. Originally, it was three small cottages with a return wing extending into Mill Lane. The structure is two storeys high and has four windows that are widely and variously spaced, including a half-dormer on the far right. There are three wide casements at the eaves above three 2-light windows and one small single light window on the ground floor, all fitted with steel casements and leading. A wide 19th-century plank door is located on the far left, leading to a throughway, followed by a 20th-century plank and batten door, and two blocked openings that were formerly doors. On the return gable facing Mill Lane, there is a small light at the ground floor. The building is included in the register primarily for its group value.
