Description
This is a mid-to-late 18th century house situated in a row along High Street, Tewkesbury. The building is constructed with Flemish bond brickwork, topped with a tile roof and brick stacks. It is a double-depth property with parapets to both the front and rear. The three-storey facade has three windows. The second floor windows are 12-pane sashes, while the first and ground floor windows have no glazing bars. The windows have brick voussoirs and stone cills. To the left and right of the entrance, there are arched openings; the left one has a blocked fanlight, and the right has a radial fanlight above a six-panel fielded door. A plain coped parapet returns to the brick stack on the left. The rear of the building features a mansard roof concealed behind the parapet, with two 20th-century dormers above a four-windowed facade. The first-floor windows on the rear facade are 8:12:8:12-paned sashes, while the ground floor has a large 12-pane sash and a panelled door with a plain fanlight to the left. A lean-to has been added to the rear. A very large brick stack, built in early brickwork, is located in the valley of the mansard roof. The interior has not been inspected.
