Description

The Benjamin Wood chest tomb, located approximately 1 meter south of the buttress to bays 6 and 7 of the south aisle of the Church of St Peter, is a large upright chest tomb dating from the early 18th century. It features a slightly rounded top with a moulded edge, square inscription panels, and a moulded base and plinth. The tomb is dedicated to Benjamin Wood and has the date 1739 inscribed on the east side.
