Description

Isbourne House is a mid-19th century house located on the north side of Castle Street, Winchcombe. It is constructed from limestone ashlar with a deep plain string course at the first floor level, and has a low-pitched Welsh slate hipped roof with deep eaves. The main entrance front, facing west, is two storeys high and has two windows. It features sash windows with glazing bars, a six-panel door, and a projecting pillar porch with a flat top and transom above the door, with a plain transom light. To the left is a two-storey service wing with an ashlar eaves stack. The road front displays pilaster responds and a two-storey, two-windowed design with sash windows, margin bars, and original shutters within. The design is plainly executed but well-defined.
