Description

The fountain located to the south of the Church of St Mary at Sudeley Castle is a mid-19th century structure designed by J. Dent. It is made of ashlar stone and features a balustrade that encircles the pool, creating a circular shape with rectangular projections at the cardinal points. The fountain has a moulded top to the plinth, balusters, and a moulded handrail. A jet of water emerges from the center of the pool, positioned close to the water level. This fountain is part of a group that includes the Castle, Chapel, and terrace wall.
