Description

The Little Castle is a house built in the mid-19th century, likely by Lord Ellenborough, who is also associated with The De la Bere Hotel. The building is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone and features a single storey alongside a three-storey tower that includes an additional turret. The entrance has a six-panelled door set within a Tudor-arched surround, and to the right of the door is a small two-light rectangular bay window with stone mullions. The upper floor of the tower has a two-light pointed window with a stopped hood, and there are string courses between the different stages of the tower. The structure is topped with battlemented parapets. The interior has not been inspected.
