Description

This barn, dating from the 17th century, is located approximately 11 meters west of Brook House in Oxenton Woolstone. It features square-panelled timber framing with painted brick infill, and some areas have early weatherboarding on the roadside front, the west gable end, and the rear elevation. The roof is thatched.

On the roadside front, there are double plank doors positioned towards the west gable end, along with a pitching door on the east gable end. The south-facing elevation includes double plank doors and a stable door. Inside, the barn consists of four bays with original collar and tie beam roof trusses that have raking struts. There are remains of wattle and daub infill within the timber framing, and a plank partition separates the barn from a stable that has a cobbled floor and a loft.
