Description

This dovecote, located approximately 40 meters south of Mill Farmhouse, dates back to 1741, as indicated by a rectangular limestone plaque above a segmental-headed window on the left side. The structure is built of brick set on a limestone plinth and features a stone slate roof. It has a segmental-headed doorway with a heavy-pegged frame on the north-facing gable. The roof is cross-gabled and includes a central lantern, with an additional cross-gabled roof at the apex topped by a finial. Inside, the dovecote contains pigeon holes that extend from the ground floor upwards, created by wooden planks arranged horizontally and vertically.
