Description
The former stable and coach house at Eastington Park is a building dating from around 1806 to 1815, built for Henry Hicks, a local mill owner. It is constructed from coursed and dressed stone and features a hipped roof covered in bitumenised slate, along with a moulded stone eaves cornice. The structure has a large central gable that slightly projects, complete with kneelers and a flat top. Above the large double doors is a segmental relieving arch with a recessed tympanum. On either side of the central element, there are two doors and two 2-light windows arranged alternately, originally featuring paired pointed arch tracery within semi-circular heads. The door on the immediate left has a concrete lintel and stone infill above it, while the door on the far right has straight glazing bars in the fanlights. All doors, which are renewed, are made of tongue and groove panelling. The building is connected to the main house by a tall stone wall. The interior has not been inspected.
