Description
Brimscombe Terrace is a row of two houses with an additional house attached to the rear, built around 1800. The buildings are constructed from random rubble limestone, featuring ashlar and rendered chimneys. The front roof is covered with very large Welsh slates, while the rear is finished with concrete tiles. The houses are two stories high with an attic and have a further range at the back.
The front elevation has two windows for each house, with 12-pane sash windows set in plain openings. One of the doorways features a Regency ironwork porch with a tent hood and a door that has coloured glass margins. Each house has an eaves-mounted dormer, with one dormer containing a 9-pane sash window.
At the rear, there is a projecting wing with a parallel-roofed range adjoining it. The west end of the building has two gables, each with a 16-pane sash window on both floors of the rear range. The attached house at the back has a variety of casement windows.
