Description

Beaconsfield House is an early 19th century house set back from New Street in Painswick. It is a wide building within a row, constructed of limestone ashlar with a concrete tile roof. The house has three storeys and three windows, each a plate glass sash window set in plain reveals. The central entrance features a six-panel door with raised mouldings, approached via a Doric portico with a triglyph frieze and pediment. A band runs above a string course at first floor level, and a moulded eaves cornice tops the building, with gable stacks present. Internal shutters are noted. The interior has not been inspected.
