Description
The Organ monument is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard approximately 10 meters southeast of the chancel of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1826 and is made of sandstone. The tomb has a square shape with recessed corners and features a fluted and moulded frieze. There are oval raised inscription panels on the north and south sides, a recessed panel with a partially shrouded funereal urn on the west side, and a recessed panel with a tree portrait on the east side. The top is finished with domical coping and it has a moulded plinth. The monument stands on a stone base, which was formerly enclosed by a railing. The north side is inscribed in memory of John Organ, who died in 1826.
