Description

This is a late 18th-century coach house and stables located approximately 15 metres northeast of Barton End House. The building is constructed of random rubble limestone with a stone slate roof. It is a long, rectangular range with lofts. The left side features three segmental arched coach house doorways, each with a plank door. The right side has two stable doors, with a segmental arched, leaded loft casement above the left door and a casement with a timber lintel above the right door. The gable ends are half-hipped. A segmental arched doorway with a plank door is positioned off-centre on the west end, with a loft window directly above it. An attached outbuilding at the east end is not considered to be of architectural or historical significance. The interior has not been inspected.
