Description

This is an unidentified footstone located approximately 2.5 meters north of the south boundary wall of the Church of St Mary and south of the vestry in Painswick. It dates from the early to mid 18th century and is made of limestone. The stone features a richly modeled face with a shaped top that includes a cherub head and wings, along with drapes. Some lettering is present, but the name and date are not legible.
