Description
The Hollies is a former farmhouse that has been converted into a house, located at the end of a row on Parsonage Street in Dursley. The rear wing, which is now part of No 16, is dated 1738 and the building underwent early 19th-century alterations. It features a roughcast exterior with brick chimneys and a plain tile roof. The structure is two stories high with an attic, and the two-storey rear wing creates an L-shaped plan.
The front of the building has a three-window sash arrangement, with a tripartite configuration on the ground floor consisting of a central 12-pane sash flanked by two 4-pane sashes. The upper floor has 12-pane sashes, with the central window being round-arched. There is a central doorway that is sheltered by a flat timber projecting porch hood, leading to a glazed 6-panel door. The building has brick chimneys mounted on the ridge.
On the southeast side, there is a gable end to the right featuring a small angled attic casement. The wing has a plank door with a small casement to the right and a 12-pane sash above it, as well as a single attic roof dormer. The rear of the building has casement windows and a single gabled roof dormer. The interior has not been inspected.
