Description
29 Parsonage Street is a former town house, now functioning as a shop with a flat above, dating from around 1830. The building is constructed of Flemish bond red brick, which has been painted, with ashlar dressing and brick chimneys. It has a replacement tile roof and stands three stories tall with a cellar.
The front of the building features a three-window arrangement with stone voussoir lintels. The middle floor has 16-pane windows, while the upper floor has 12-pane windows. The central windows are currently blank but are intended to be painted as false sashes. The entrance boasts a central pedimented doorway flanked by panelled pilasters, leading to a six-panel door. A 20th-century shop sign stretches across the frieze. On either side of the entrance are canted, flat-roofed shop windows from the 19th century. The building has a moulded eaves cornice, and the rear includes scattered segmental-arched sash windows.
