Description

Woodham Cottage is a small house located at the end of a row, dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a stone slate roof. The cottage was likely built as a pair with Shoestring Cottage, which has undergone fewer modifications. The building is two storeys high with an attic and has one window that consists of three light recessed chamfer-mullion stone casements with stopped hoods. There is a 20th-century gabled dormer, and to the right, there is a 20th-century glazed door beneath a metal hood. While modest, Woodham Cottage is representative of the smaller buildings found in the town centre.
