Description
This is an outbuilding, possibly a former cottage, located immediately west of Manor Farmhouse. It dates from the late 16th century and was in semi-derelict condition at the time of the survey in December 1984. The building is constructed of rubble stone with a Cotswold stone slate roof at the front, while the rear wall is made of brick and the rear pitch of the roof is covered in slate. There are no remaining stacks. The structure has two storeys and an attic, featuring a gable on the left side that contains a five-light iron mullion window set in a moulded wood frame. The building has scattered fenestration with similar windows, all of which have timber lintels. Some internal timber shutters are still present. There is a doorway on the east side with chamfered jambs and a slightly cambered lintel, leading to a plank door secured with two strap hinges. Windows above the doorway have been bricked up.
