Description

Canons Court Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse located in Wotton-under-Edge, near Bradley Green. It is constructed of rendered rubble with a stone slate roof. The building is a large T-shaped block, likely built in two phases, with a roof at two different levels. There are two stone chimney stacks on the ridge of the left half of the building, one raised in brick, and a central chimney stack with two shafts and a common moulded capping. A smaller, newer chimney stack is located on the right, though it sits on a very large and projecting base. The farmhouse has two storeys plus dormers, with a six-window front arranged in two groups of three. Most windows are two-light with a transom and timber frames. Three hipped-roof dormers have two-light casements. On the first floor, there are six windows, including one blank window. The ground floor has four windows, plus a blocked door on the left-centre side, and a new porch and door on the right half, set beneath a blocked window.
