Description

This group of three monuments is located in the churchyard approximately 12 metres north of the vestry of the Church of St. Martin. They are chest tombs dating from the early to mid-19th century and are made of sandstone.

The first tomb features oval panels on the ends and a pair of oval panels on each side, inscribed to Richard Barton, who died in 1841. The second tomb has a shield panel on the east end and a plain west end, with a mourner in relief within an incised lancet, and large oval side panels, inscribed to Richard Barton, who died in 1801. The third tomb includes corner balusters and is inscribed to George Barton, who died in 1861.
