NORTH NIBLEY THE STREET ST 7395 (south side), 9/135 Barn and attached house at Nibley House Farm (previously listed as Nibley House Farmhouse) 23.6.52 II

Formerly 2 barns, now barn and attached house. Mid C18. Random rubble marlstone with limestone quoins; brick chimney; replacement tile roof. Six-bay barn with porch on east side; 2- storey house. West side: 2-window fenestration to house at left, cross windows to ground floor, casements to upper floor, all with timber lintels. Glazed lean-to to left. Large brick segmental arch to barn doorway with small keystone; plank doors and horizontal boarded spandrel. Two rows of vent holes to barn, all with brick jambs: lower tier are slits, upper are small square holes. Attached lean-to at south end in mixture of materials. East side: barn is as to west except porch has lean-to roof and timber lintel to barn doors. Two-window fenestration to house as to west. Additional lean-to to house is not of special interest. Interior of barn has 6-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof. Segmental-arched opening between barn and east porch.
