Description

Daneway is a small detached dwelling dating from the 17th century. It is constructed of rubble with stone slates on the wing, while the rest of the building features concrete plain tiles. The structure is compact, featuring steeply pitched roofs on the end and front gable, a hip roof at the rear, and a coped gable next to a lower extension on the right side. The building has one storey plus dormers and roof storeys. The only door is on the street elevation, which is a six-panel door beneath a small hood. There are various casement windows on the left and rear sides. This building was formerly a schoolroom for Coombe and was known as 'South View' before being renamed 'Daneway'.
