Description
The New Mill at Bliss Mills, located in the Chalford Industrial Estate, is a mill building that has been converted into workshops. It was constructed around 1870 for William Dangerfield. The building is made of random rubble limestone and features a concrete tile roof. It has a long, three-storey range with 18 bays.
On the north side, the windows are arranged in a pattern of 4:1:8:1:4, all of which are segmental arched small-pane casements. There are two small projections with pediments. The building has a plain parapet. The south side has a similar window arrangement but lacks a parapet. There is an off-centre projecting gabled stair turret and gabled ends at the parapets. The interior has not been inspected. The attached secondary buildings at the east end are not considered to be of special interest.
