Description
Field View and the adjoining cottage occupied by Mr. Smart date from the early 18th century, or possibly later. The buildings are two storeys high and constructed of rubble, topped with a Cotswold stone roof that features a catslide at the rear. On the first floor, there are three windows, with the left-hand ones having chamfered mullions and two-light casements. The ground floor has irregular windows, including two on the right-hand cottage, with the right-hand window featuring a mullion. To the left, there is a door with a segmental hood supported by wrought iron brackets. Field View itself has an irregular arrangement of windows, with the ground floor window also having a chamfered mullion. The gable end of this building includes two-light mullion windows and a single-light attic window.
