Description
Coombe Lodge is a detached house built in the early 19th century. It features a pebble-dash exterior and a concrete tile roof with a square plan and a roof that has two pitches, resembling a mansard style. The corners of the building are accentuated by plain pilasters that support a stone cornice, which runs as a band across the gabled ends. There are four chimney stacks positioned at the gables.
The main garden front has two storeys and is arranged with four windows that are sashes with glazing bars; however, three of these are blind openings. The central entrance consists of a part-glazed door. The south front mirrors this design but includes a late 19th-century conservatory and an octagonal corner bay window. Inside, there is a notable contemporary staircase featuring stick balusters and an arched landing window adorned with gothick tracery.
