Description
The Clent monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 2 meters east of the monument to Elizabeth Copner and to the south of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1671 and is made of limestone. The tomb features lyre ends with a cartouche at each end and has central moulded rectangular panels on the sides, which are flanked by death's heads above carved scrolls. The top is cavetto, while the base is not visible. The south side is inscribed with the names of Thomas and William Clent, who both died in 1671.
