Description

The Guilding monument is a pedestal tomb located approximately 7 meters south of the chancel of the Church of St. John. It dates from 1762 and is made of limestone with sandstone panels. The tomb features beaded frames around recessed inscription panels and has a cornice moulded top with domical coping above. The base is cyma moulded. The north side is inscribed in memory of Elizabeth Guilding, who died in 1762, while other family members are commemorated on the additional panels.
