Description
The monument to John Kemble Chandler is a pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 1 metre west of the monument to John Kemble and to the north of the Church of St. Leonard. It dates from 1834 and has a rectangular shape with reeded pilasters on the sides and fluted side-returns at the ends. The south side features a plain raised round moulding surrounding a rectangular inscription panel, while the north panel has raised upper quadrant corners and paterae. The top and base of the monument are composite moulded. The north side is inscribed with the name JOHN KEMBLE CHANDLER, who died in 1834.
