Description

The lodge to Hardwicke Court is a detached house built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building is single-storey and square in shape, featuring a picturesque design with one off-centre full gable on each side. Each elevation has two windows, which are three-light timber casements topped with brick hood moulds. There is a continuous brick dentil course that extends up to the gables, and a gabled porch is located on the south-west elevation. Additionally, there is a continuous original outshut on the north-east side, and the lodge has central chimney stacks with two pairs of diagonal brick shafts.
