Description

The Davis monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 6 metres north of the Taylor monument and to the north of the Church of St. Leonard. It dates from 1709 and is made of limestone. The tomb features lyre ends and has moulded rectangular side panels adorned with floral scrolls. The top is cavetto moulded, while the base is not visible as of March 1985. The south side of the monument is inscribed in memory of Thomas Davis, who died in 1709.
