Description

The mill building and chimney stack, located approximately 20 metres north-east of St Mary's Mill in Minchinhampton, date from the early 18th century, with enlargements made in the mid to late 18th century and a chimney added in the mid-19th century. The structure is built from coursed rubble limestone, featuring a tall red brick chimney and a corrugated iron roof. It stands three storeys high.

On the south-east side, the right part of the building appears to be original, showcasing three middle-floor three-light chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds. The ground floor has a two-light window with a hoodmould that connects to a doorway. To the left, there are paired four-pane sash windows under a timber lintel. The upper floor and a range of windows to the left are later additions, consisting of timber windows with iron opening casements. An eaves-mounted chimney is located to the left.

On the south-west end, the original line of the roof is visible, featuring single-window fenestration. There is a blocked three-light window on the ground floor and a two-light window above, both with hoodmoulds. The tall detached chimney stack has a square tapering shaft with stone bands at the base and cap.

There is a single-storey brick-built office building to the east, which is not of special interest. The interior has not been inspected. At the time of the survey in September 1986, parts of the building were noted to be in poor structural condition. This mill building and chimney stack form part of a group with St Mary's House and St Mary's Mill.
