Description

This is an unidentified chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 15 meters north of the porch to the Church of St. Swithun. It dates from the mid to late 17th century and is made of limestone. The tomb is rectangular in shape, featuring a raised lozenge at each end. The sides are divided into two panels by balusters. The top has a complex moulded design with modillion enrichment, while the base is not visible due to the tomb having sunk over time. The inscription on the tomb is mostly buried.
