Description
This is an early 18th-century pedestal tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 2 meters northeast of the Hawkins monument and south of the Church of St. John. It is made of limestone and features a bow-ended shape with fine moulding and gadrooned corner balusters. The east end has a volute tripod that supports a flaming urn, which is flanked by the heads of putti. The west end displays an open book with radiating fronds, a coronet above, and a winged skull below. The sides have moulded Rococo inscription panels, with the northern panel topped by a scrolled pediment. The tomb has a cavetto moulded top and a cyma base, but the inscriptions are illegible.
