Description

This is a canal milepost and length marker dating from around 1830. It is made of painted stone and features an iron post with a plate. The post is triangular with a rounded top and has incised serif lettering and numbers. On the left face of the stone post, it reads 'G/5', and on the right face, it reads 'S/11'. There is also an adjacent iron angle post with an iron plate that has the number '20' painted on it.
