Description
Woodcock Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone with a rubble chimney and features a stone slate roof, although the rear has a concrete tile covering. The building is two storeys high with an attic.
The front facade has five windows, all of which are two-light recessed chamfered mullioned casements with leading and hoodmoulds. There is an off-centre two-storey gabled porch that has a chamfered opening leading to the doorway, which features a stone lintel with a hoodmould and a glazed door. Above the porch, there is a two-light window with a hoodmould. The roof includes two gabled attic dormers with leaded 20th-century casements. A ridge-mounted chimney with a moulded cap is present.
On the ends of the building, there is a single window on each side, with three-light windows on the ground and upper floors and two-light windows in the attic, along with a blocked oval window above. The rear features a central gabled projection with a 20th-century doorway, a two-light window above, and a single attic light. There are flanking outshuts with a catslide roof and 20th-century casements. A 20th-century addition at the west end is not considered of special interest. The interior has not been inspected.
