Description
This is a coach house located approximately 10 meters south of Millswood, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed rubble limestone, featuring a rendered brick chimney and a concrete tile roof. The building is two stories high and has four two-light pointed arched windows on the east side at ground level, which have diagonal leading. The upper floor has leaded iron casements, with the central two windows having segmental arched beads and the outer two having square heads. There is a loft doorway at the north end with a flight of stone steps, and an off-centre coach doorway that has a 20th-century steel lintel. A chimney is mounted on the eaves at the rear. The interior has not been inspected. It is said to have originally been built as a place of worship for Swedenborgians, according to M.A. Rudd's "Historical Records of Bisley with Lypiatt," published in 1935.
