Description
No 33 Long Street is a shop with a flat above, dating from the 18th century, although it was refaced in the late 19th century or early 20th century. The building features red Flemish bond brick on the front and random rubble marlstone at the rear, with a brick chimney. The front roof slope is covered with replacement tiles, while the rear is finished with Welsh slate. It is three storeys tall, with a single-window arrangement on the front. The late 19th-century shop front has scroll brackets at each end of the fascia, and the middle floor has a small-paned casement window with a brick flat arch above it. The upper floor features a 20th-century casement window. A modillion eaves cornice adds to the architectural detail. The random rubble marlstone walls at the rear suggest the form of an earlier structure. This building is included for its group value.
