Description
The granary and cartshed, built around 1858 for Julius Partridge, is located approximately 30 meters west of the main range of farm buildings at Wishanger Farm. Constructed from coursed rubble limestone and timber weatherboarding, it features a Welsh slate roof. The building is rectangular, with a granary situated above a three-bay east-facing cartshed. The stone piers of the cartshed have chamfered bases and bold corbel-shaped tops that support a timber lintel. The eastern elevation is weatherboarded and includes louvred vent openings and a small casement in the central full gable. On the western gable, there is a single Tudor arched casement. The south gable end has stone steps leading to a central Tudor arched loft doorway, with a Tudor arched casement above it, complete with a hood. The north end features a parapet gable. This structure is part of an important planned group of farm buildings, which includes the main range to the east and a barn to the north.
