Description
This is a barn located immediately southwest of Nupend Farmhouse, dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed from random rubble limestone with timber weatherboarding and features a stone slate roof. The barn has six bays and includes porches on the east and west sides, as well as outshuts on three sides. The tall gabled porch on the east side has weatherboarding above plank barn doors with a timber lintel. There are flanking outshuts, with the one on the left extending across the south end and returning on the west side, topped with a hipped roof. A slit vent is present on the south gable end. There are adjoining 20th-century farm buildings on the west side, which are not of special interest. Inside, the barn features a six-bay collar and tie-beam truss roof. This barn is part of a group with Nupend Farmhouse.
