Description
The Remmington monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 30 meters west of the chancel arch and 25 meters northwest of the Smith Adams monument. It dates from the mid-18th century and is made of limestone. The tomb is rectangular in shape and features corner balusters. It has a hollow moulded top, while the base was not visible at the time of survey in December 1985. The monument is inscribed to Elizabeth Remmington, although the date is illegible. Additionally, there is a brass plate attached to the top inscribed to William Tiley, who died in 1861.
