Description
Overton Farmhouse is a mid-19th century farmhouse located in Arlingham. It is constructed of brick with alternating chamfered stone quoins and stone dressings, topped with a slate roof and featuring brick ridge stacks. The building has a T-shaped layout and stands two storeys tall.
Each gable end is adorned with a pediment that includes a modillion cornice and a lunette window. On the east side, which forms the top edge of the T, there are three windows, with the central bay projecting forward and featuring quoins and a smaller similar pediment. The first floor has 2/1/2-light wood casements, which are set beneath splayed stone voussoirs and a keystone. The ground floor includes 3/1/3-light wood mullion and transom windows, with the three-light window having segmental heads.
The north side displays similar window arrangements on both the first and ground floors, and features a central doorcase with an alternating quoin surround. The door consists of nine flush panels and is topped by a radial fanlight, accessed by four stone steps.
