Description
This is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, about 7 meters south of the south-east corner of the south porch of the Church of St. Ethelbert. It dates from the late 18th century and is made of ashlar stone. The tomb features a flat lid with a moulded edge. The long sides have fielded panels with scalloped corners, while the ends are adorned with bulbous elongated rectangular balusters, each with a fielded panel on the stem. The main inscription on the north side is now illegible, but a secondary inscription on the south side records the deaths of children from the 1790s.
