Description

The Parker Monument is a chest tomb located in the churchyard, approximately 7.5 meters south of the east end of the nave of the Church of St. Ethelbert. It commemorates Thomas Parker, who died in 1779. The tomb is made of stone and features a flat lid with a moulded edge. The sides and ends have fielded panels, and there are quarter-square balusters at each corner. The inscription on the south side uses a mix of upper and lower case lettering.
