Description

Red Lion House is a dwelling that was formerly an inn, likely dating from the 17th century, although its exterior was modified in the mid-19th century. The building is smooth rendered and has a Welsh slate roof. It is situated at the end of a terrace and features a return wing that extends to Dean Road. The house is two storeys high and has two windows; the ground floor has modern bays that have been recessed into former openings, while the first floor has wide spaced and deep set sash windows with glazing bars. To the left of the centre, there is a six-panel door with a three-pane transom light and a moulded architrave, topped with a flat hood supported by brackets. The return wing to Dean Road includes two original sash windows in the gable and new sash windows in the extension.
