Description

Farmhouse, dating from the first half of the 17th century with 18th-century additions and late 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick-nogged timber framing on a stone plinth, with some timber visible in a right-hand extension. The brickwork has been painted, and the roof is tiled with clay on the left and concrete plain tiles on the right. The house comprises a two-bay cross wing, two 2½-storey wings to each side, a single-storey, single-bay wing on the left end, and a late 20th-century leanto to the front on the left.

The right-hand side features an 18th-century addition with irregular framing, two 2-light casement windows on the ground floor, and a rear chimney. The cross wing has a flush gable with timber framing two panels high per floor. It has a two-light casement window on the ground and first floors, with weatherboarding above. The upper part of the gable features a roof truss with a tie beam and two collars, a two-light casement between the collars, weatherboarding and V struts. A blocked door is visible on the left return. A late 20th-century window replaces a doorway on the left wing. A projecting, late 20th-century leanto wing to the left has two 2-light casements and a door on its right return, with a gable chimney at the left end. Dormers on the front have two-light casements; the one on the left has a metal casement and corrugated iron roof. A single-storey timber-framed extension to the left has replaced a door with a two-light 20th-century casement, and a single-light casement to the left.

Inside the cross wing's ground floor, the ceiling beams are heavy chamfered with a bar and pyramid stops.
