Description

This is a late 18th-century pedestal tomb located about 5 meters southwest of the south porch of the Church of St. Ethelbert in Littledean. The tomb is square in plan with bowed faces on the east and west sides. It features a lid with a moulded edge that curves up to a blunt point. The north and south faces are plain, while the east and west sides have a fluted frieze on the bowed section and a similar panel below, all resting on a cyma moulded base. An inscription on the north side is largely eroded, but the year 178- is still visible.
